kids store stuff for your adult home

i have a strong fascination with products made for the little ones…maybe its because everything looks so much cuter when it’s shrunken down.  i must say, children’s decor has come a long way.  so far, in fact, that i have found numerous pieces that i would love to have in my grown-up, childless home.

buying decor from children’s stores is a win-win situation because not only can you find chic items that are unique, but you can also score them at a lower price. um…that gold lamp?  $79!  I’ll take two!

geometric mirror | pottery barn kids :: this would look killer in an entryway.

scalloped storage boxes | restoration hardware baby & kids :: i would use these to store hats, gloves, and scarves.

golden lamp | land of nod :: i have a plan to add some diy dip-dye lamp shades as seen here and place them on my bedside tables.

geometric print | unison home

leather pouf | serena & lily

gilded letters | restoration hardware baby & kids :: i am a sucker for word art and monograms are very now.

gold dot sheets | land of nod :: if it has polka dots, i’m on board.

chevron memo board | layla grayce

just like fashion, home decor is all about the styling.  i find items for my home everywhere–you just have to look.
